COMPETITION FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply to the ‘Carling Grass Roots Campaign’ competition (the “Competition”). The Competition is open to a Team (as defined below) made up of individuals aged 18 or above, with valid proof of age. Participating venues only.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. By entering this Competition, you confirm your acceptance and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Competition is promoted and managed by Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Limited; Registered in England and Wales; No 00026018; Registered Office: 137 High Street, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 1JZ (the “Promoter”).
  3. These Terms and Conditions apply so far as the law permits so please read them carefully before entering.
  4. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to deal with any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and the Competition.

CAN I ENTER THE COMPETITION?

  1. The Competition is free to enter (no purchase necessary).
  2. This Competition is open to any grass roots football teams with players over the age of 18 in the United Kingdom (a “Team”).
  3. To be eligible to win the Prize and/or the Grand Prize (defined below), Teams must be made up of players aged 18 (eighteen) years old or over. Proof of age will be required from each winning Team.
  4. In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. It will be the Promoter’s sole decision as to whether any eligibility requirement has or has not been met and we will require evidence or confirmation from Teams before awarding prizes. The Promoter will only accept a valid UK Driving Licence or a valid passport as proof of age.
  5. The Competition will commence from 00:01 hours on 19th May 2025 until 00:01 on 9th June 2025.
  6. Teams may only submit up to 1 (one) valid Nomination (as defined below). Any additional Nominations will not be counted or eligible to win.
  7. The Competition will require access to an email account and internet access. This will not be provided by the Promoter nor will the Promoter be responsible for providing you with an email account or internet access.
  8. We reserve the right to discount any Nomination or disqualify any Team which does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition.

HOW TO NOMINATE YOUR TEAM

  1. To nominate your Team, simply scan the QR code which will be placed in your local pub or go to carlinggrassroots.com and provide:
    1. your name;
    2. your email address;
    3. a contact number;
    4. your Team’s name;
    5. team social media handle (optional);
    6. confirmation that all players are over 18;
    7. the name of your local Pub using the drop-down menu provided;
    8. the location your Team plays;
    9. the number of players and coaches in your Team (all players over 18);
    10. an explanation of what a brand-new kit would mean for your Team;
    11. permission for the Pubs and the Promoter to use your Team’s pictures and videos on their social media channels;
    (a “Nomination”)
  2. If, for any reason, a technical interruption equipment failure, telephone failure, network, server, computer hardware or software failure or site failure occurs and the Competition is not capable of running as planned or entries are not received or validly submitted or the Prize (as defined below) is disrupted, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition if necessary.
  3. The Promoter does not take any responsibility for incomplete entries or entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit (regardless of cause) and any such entries will not be considered valid.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition if necessary.

THE GRAND PRIZE

  1. 25 (twenty-five) winners will be selected based on their proximity to the Pub and the best answers received during the nomination questions. These will be independently judged by Action Funder based on their proximity to the Pub and their answers provided to all questions under clause 13 of these Terms. Each winner will win the Grand Prize.
  2. The Grand Prize Winners will win new team kit to be provided by Iconix Brand UK Ltd t/a Umbro worth up to £3,000 (the “Grand Prize”). No cash or credit alternative will be offered or available.
  3. The Grand Prize Winners will be presented with the Grand Prize in person at either their playing ground, or their local Pub (as selected by the Promoter).
  4. The Promoter may contact selected Grand Prize Winners in order to arrange capturing video content at the Grand Prize presentation for use on the Promoter’s social media channels. Such video content to only include those Team members who look over 25.
  5. The Grand Prize Winners will be contacted by 11th July 2025 via email.
  6. Once notified that you have won, Grand Prize Winners will have 90 days to place their order for kit or it will be offered to another entrant.
  7. There are no cash or credit alternative prizes and the Grand Prize is non-transferable and non-negotiable. The Grand Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
  8. If the Promoter subsequently discovers the Winners are ineligible, has breached these Terms and Conditions or has engaged in any foul play or unethical conduct is suspected under these Terms and Conditions then the Promoter reserves the right to not award the Grand Prize and a Finalist will be selected at random as the Grand Prize Winner of that prize.
  9. If the Grand Prize offered is unavailable, cancelled or suspended beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter will not be able to offer an alternative and will not owe any further liability to the Grand Prize Winners. The Grand Prize Winners will not be entitled to any monetary equivalent or compensation for costs or expenses incurred or suffered in connection with taking up the Grand Prize.
  10. The Grand Prize Winners accept that the Grand Prize could be cancelled or suspended for any reason whatsoever beyond the control of the Promoter.
  11. In the event that any Grand Prize Winner is unable to redeem the Grand Prize for any reason they must notify Promoter immediately. In this circumstance, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Grand Prize to another entrant. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Grand Prize.
  12. You acknowledge and agree that the Promoter will not be responsible for any costs and/or travel expenses incurred by the Winners when travelling to and from any of the venues participating in this Competition. In all circumstances, the Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

LIABILITIES

  1. Neither the Promoter or its affiliates, agents, officers or employees will be liable (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss or damage arising out of organising or holding this Competition or as a result of an entrant’s participation in it, participation in any of the activities or as a result of the Winner and/or Grand Prize Winner winning, participating in, collecting or enjoying the Prize and/or the Grand Prize the Competition, or if the Competition does not run as planned. This paragraph does not seek to exclude the liability of any party listed in this paragraph for
    • (a) death or personal injury caused by their negligence,
    • (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or
    • (c) any other matter for which it would be unlawful for them to exclude or attempt to exclude their liability.
    Your statutory rights are not affected. The Promoter does not take responsibility for, recommend or guarantee the performance of any contractual or other obligations of third parties associated with a Prize.
  2. The Promoter may change these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition at their absolute discretion and without incurring liability as a result unless the Prize and/or Grand Prize has been awarded.
  3. The Promoter is committed to alcohol responsibility in all of its business practices. We promote responsible drinking by legally aged adults, and strive to reduce excessive, irresponsible or underage drinking. Winners are responsible for their own actions, but the Promoter encourages winners to drink responsibly at all times.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

  1. By entering this Competition, you understand that the Promoter (and its agents, contractors and group members on its behalf) and partaking Pubs may process, store, distribute and/or use the information (including personal data) you provide in your Competition entry and in the process of entering:
    • To enable them to administer your entry in the Competition, including deciding whether it accords with these Terms and Conditions;
    • To notify you if you are a Winner and/or a Grand Prize Winner. If you are a Winner and/or a Grand Prize Winner you agree that the Promoter may announce or make available on request your name and county/town unless you object to the Promoter doing so or request that the amount of personal information announced or made available is reduced by the Promoter, in accordance with clause 53;
    • To share with organisations assisting with the conduct of the Competition and fulfilment of the Prize and/or the Grand Prize.
  2. Teams’ name, Team members and contact information used for the purpose of this Competition shall be retained for a period of 3 (three) months from the end of the Competition.
  3. Should any Winner and/or Grand Prize Winner object to their name and county/town of residence being announced or made available by the Promoter, they should contact customersupportline@molsoncoors.com. The Promoter will not announce or make available the personal information of any Winners who have objected. The Promoter may, however, need to provide such data for any lawful or regulatory purposes to third parties.
  4. Data will be handled in accordance with (i) any data protection legislation from time to time in force in the UK including the Data Protection Act 2018 and any successor legislation; and (ii) the UK GDPR.

  1. To find out the name and country of the Winner(s) and/or Grand Prize Winners please send your request by sending a stamped envelope addressed to the Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Limited, 137 High Street, Burton-on-Trent, DE14 1JZ within 28 days of the end of the Competition.
